Three-layer solid wood composite floor production process and key equipment

Three-layer solid wood flooring originated in Europe and developed into China in the 1990s. Because it overcomes the shortcomings of wooden flooring and developed their advantages, it has become a fashionable product in Europe and is gradually accepted by Chinese consumers.

Introduction of three-layer parquet

The three-layer solid wood composite floor is a rotary cut sheet made of paper or rubber thread as a core board, a sawn or sliced veneer of precious wood as a panel, and a fast-growing poplar, eucalyptus and other tree species. The board is a new type of floor processed by the bottom plate, pressing and tenon milling.

The wood fibers in the adjacent layers of the three-layer composite floor are perpendicular to each other, which overcomes the anisotropy of natural wood; and the core board is a narrow strip of wood that has been subjected to a flattening treatment, which greatly reduces the internal stress of natural wood.

This form of floor usually has the following characteristics:

Maintain the natural wood texture of solid wood flooring, simple and pure, elegant and generous; comfortable feet, good sound insulation and other advantages;

Dimensional stability, small deformation, not easy to crack and warp;

Increase the utilization rate of precious wood to achieve the best use of materials and excellent materials;

The texture of the adjacent layer of wood is staggered to improve the splitting resistance. Therefore, the three-layer solid wood composite floor can be processed into a lock tenon, which has the advantages of easy paving of the lock tenon floor.

Three-layer solid wood composite floor production process

The production process of three-layer solid wood composite floor can be summarized as: wood drying treatment-panel processing-core plate processing-back plate processing-glue coating, assembly blank-hot pressing-health-surface finishing process.

1.Wood drying

Because the moisture content of wood directly affects the stability of wood processing products, in order to ensure the quality of three-layer solid wood composite flooring products, the wood raw materials used to process this product must be dried before production, fully controlling the moisture content and releasing stress .

When drying wood, the corresponding drying process should be formulated according to different tree species and initial moisture content. Wood drying should be achieved by using a drying kiln, and the dried wood should be treated by health.

2. Panel processing

The panel of the three-layer solid wood composite floor is usually 3-4mm. It is an important part of the three-layer solid wood composite floor. The material and processing accuracy of the panel directly affect the quality of the product.

The front surface of the panel is ABCD grade, which has no scars and cracked ends. In the past few years, there has been a DE grade. There are scars and cracks. Such boards need artificial repair to make the scars. More natural, then putty repair.

3.Core board processing

The core layer of the three-layer solid wood composite floor is usually about 9 mm. The raw materials are usually fast-growing materials, such as pine and poplar. When selecting materials, try to avoid defects such as dead knots, decay, blunt edges, cracks, etc. Gaps and consistent intervals.

4. Backplane processing

The three-layer solid wood composite floor backboard is usually about 2 mm, and the raw materials are usually fast-growing materials, such as pine and poplar. Generally, a single high-quality veneer is used. Backplanes are usually processed by rotary cutting.

5.Glue coating and assembly

According to the technological requirements of different manufacturers, the panel, core board and back board are glued and assembled. The adhesive used for glue application must be environmentally friendly, comply with the requirements of national standards, the glue application should be uniform, and the amount of glue should meet the requirements of glue quality.

6. Hot pressing

The assembled slabs are hot-pressed according to the requirements of the hot-pressing process using a hot-pressing machine. The hot-pressing parameters such as temperature, time and pressure must be adapted to the hot-pressing process to ensure product quality requirements.

7. Health

The three-layer solid wood composite floor is an asymmetric structure. In order to balance the stress generated during the hot pressing process, a health treatment is required. That is, the equilibrium processing is performed under constant temperature and constant humidity conditions.

8. Surface finishing process

Paint is an indispensable surface treatment for the floor, which aims to improve the decorative effect of the surface, keep the floor surface smooth, and protect the surface of the wood to ensure the use requirements.

Key equipment of three-layer solid wood composite floor

Good equipment does more with less. For the production of three-layer solid wood composite flooring, the choice of equipment is very important.

1. Table splitting equipment

Planing veneer for table material has always been the first choice for solid wood composite flooring, because there is no loss of sawn wood during planing, which improves the utilization efficiency of precious wood.

There are three types of veneer sawing: circular saw, band saw and row saw. In general, the circular saw production method is limited by the diameter of the saw blade, which is suitable for the floor production of the “three fights”; the band saw and row saw cutting method are suitable for the “single-width” table. Floor production. Regardless of the sawing method, a thin saw path is used as the design premise.

2.Pressing equipment

Three-layer solid wood composite flooring is an emerging type of flooring. The typical pressing equipment used in existing domestic three-layer solid wood flooring manufacturers are the following two types:

European imported equipment represented by single-layer or multi-layer automatic feed conveyor: its advantages are reasonable process layout and high degree of automation; its disadvantages are large equipment investment and low output.

Production equipment of domestic pre-press + multi-layer hot press: The advantages are low equipment investment and large output; but the degree of automation is lower than imported equipment.

3.Slicing and surface sanding equipment

After pressing and balancing the slabs of the three-layer solid wood composite floor, the slabs are processed into pieces, and the entire floor blank that is connected with a plurality of floors is cut into a single floor blank.

Generally use a multi-slice circular saw to divide the piece, the spacing of the saw blade = the width of the finished floor + the machining allowance of the tenon and tenon. Smaller companies can also use the table saw to separate the pieces. The sliced blank is surface sanded or double-sided sanded. The accuracy of the sander and the sanding effect have a very important influence on the surface quality of the finished floor.

4. Floor surface finish

The floor paint process has a great relationship with the tree species of the table board, which process cannot be used mechanically. For example, for broad-leaved wood with a large tube hole, a single filling of the putty can not completely cover the tube hole, and a second filling is required; a fine loose hole material of the tube hole can completely cover the tube hole once.

5.Tongue and tongue and groove processing equipment

Before processing the tenon and tenon, the three-layer solid wood composite floor blank has been sanded and even surface-coated. Therefore, no cutting is required on the upper and lower surfaces, only the tenon and tenon are required.

At present, there are two types of tenon in the market-flat tenon and lock tenon. No matter what kind of tenon, it is necessary to properly equip the cutter and the inclination angle of the cutter shaft according to the wood texture and the characteristics of the core board.
